Our Collective Message
We don’t just want to be a counter-witness to white christian nationalism in our message, we want our approach, our actions and our tone to be different. That's what these guidelines, rooted in our understanding of Jesus' way, are trying to help us do.
We're not just coming out to take a stand against something. We're gathering together to make a public demonstration of what we are for.

We are trying to show what we believe it means to be Christian.
The kind of Christian that has Jesus front, center, King and Savior.

The kind of Christian that honors and welcomes Holy Spirit as the Spirit of Justice who undoes our shame and brings us together in true humility, unity, comfort, truth and love.
The kind of Christian that loves our neighbor, recognizing that everybody is our neighbor, and loves our enemy while recognizing that flesh and blood people aren't our true enemy.
The kind of Christian that takes an unequivocal stand against injustice and actively works to end oppression - calling it out by name in the world around us and owning our own active and complicit part in it.

The kind of Christian who doesn't prioritize our social comfort and staying silent in the name of "keeping the peace" and "maintaining unity" while maintaining the status quo in that way hurts people.

The kind of Christian that speaks truth to power and holds our leaders accountable in the same way that Jesus did to the Pharisees.

The kind of Christian that loves kindness and mercy, does justice and walks humbly with our God.
